Other than Calgary coming in last place, you can pretty much call the Pacific division the most unpredictable division in the NHL.

I think they'll finish in second. It'll likely be a very close race between the top 3. If Lack or Eriksson can step in and provide solid backup goaltending then I could see them jumping into 1st. If the backup really struggles I could see them dropping to 3rd. Wouldn't be surprised to see 3 points separate the top 3. Maybe a little work on Shootouts would help this season...

Here's my wild prediction for the year, Flames don't finish to far behind the Oilers.

9th - This is the year they miss the playoffs. Torts get fired after a dismal season and he's lost the players by the Olympic break.

Torts is a good coach.

Van does have a good team. Good top offense, solid D, and solid goaltending.

The only way things go south is if things go to a complete melt down somehow.

I see them first or second.

Third. The Canucks will have the typical slow start adapting to the new Tort system and then pick it up by mid November, finishing behind LA and SJ.

I can't see why anyone would say the Nucks would finish low in their division. They STILL have a good team. I clicked on 2nd but I still think they will compete for the top of the division with LA and Anaheim. SJ will be there too actually..

Interesting you would guess that... I would put them at 4th at best, barely squeaking into the playoffs.

I voted 4th, although I wouldn't be surprised if the Canucks finished 3rd.

Anaheim and LA will take the first 2 spots, then I think Vancouver and SJ will battle it out for 3rd and 4th. All 4 teams will make the playoffs.
